Weekend at G & G's Resort

Nathan and Andrew stayed with us for the weekend, while their parents went to a wedding.  We dug Rebecca’s pool out of storage and blew it up.  The boys  weren’t sure what to make of the four air cushions and drink holders in it, but enjoyed it anyway.  It didn’t take long to figure out how to let the air out.  They are in daycare at Motorola and that’s probably covered in Toddler Engineering class.

On Sunday, the boys had been napping and I asked Grampa how long they had been asleep.  He responded without hesitation, “Two hours and eleven minutes.

This weekend I learned:
If you put the pool on a slope, you have a shallow and a deep end.  Our shallow end was 3” and the deep was 6”.
It’s okay to plan your life around food and sleep.  Your chance of success is  better that way.
Three meals and three snacks work best.
The sound of chimes and a breeze is just as beautiful in your backyard, as at an expensive resort.  Good thing, too, because we won’t even be going to a cheap resort.

Grandpa, when are you going to let Gramma come out?

Thank you, Auntie Becca for loaning us your pool.

“Snack, snack, snack!"
